Lightning and Power Surge Analysis
Our lightning/power surge analysis inspections determine the validity of HVAC and well pump lightning and/or power surge claims. With valid claims we also determine if the HVAC system is or was repairable and the estimated repair costs.

In North Carolina we have a continuing education course, Basic HVAC, Well Pumps, and Lightning Analysis, that has been approved by the NC Dept of Insurance for our presentation to insurance adjusters and agents.
Inspection and Analysis
We provide inspection and analysis to determine if a heat pump, air conditioner, or well pump has incurred lightning or power surge damage.
If it is determined that there is damage, we determine if the damage is repairable. Most HVAC units are repairable and do not need to be replaced. Lightning and power surge damaged compressors and well pumps are not repairable.

If it is determined that the HVAC unit is repairable, we will provide an estimate of repair costs.
On Site Inspections
If the system has not already been replaced by the homeowners heating & air conditioning company, on site HVAC lightning/power surge analysis are almost always performed within 24-48 hours after receipt of the assignment.

The report is emailed to the adjuster that evening or the following morning.
Site Coverage
We provide on site inspections through most of North Carolina and Southern Virginia. Extreme western counties are excluded.
